e-learning again

Greetings!

Here's a little bit more information about e-learning which probably sheds some light into its strange and somewhat welcome appearance.

E-learning, as I have recently learnt, is a yearly affair (meaning you won't get it every semester), and has been mandated by Provost (I'm fairly sure this was the authority quoted) after SARS in 2003. 2 years ago when I had first encountered it, I raised the issue that it was probably set up for a higher purpose than simply environmental conservation... And indeed it isn't.

-Warning, it's not the most exciting bit of news, but it probably is rather accurate-

Following the wake of the epidemic, the school needs to be able to ensure that it is able to run and fulfill its educational commitments even if it is decreed that everyone stays at home. This would entail checking if its systems can tank the full load of students using a common web portal, and if information can be soundly and timely communicated across. Should a future crisis involving quarantining occur, students will not suffer in terms of missing curriculum anymore.

And so, after missing one year of e-learning, I get to experience it again this year, around the Chinese New Year period. In fact... CNY, e-learning and recess week happen consecutively in some particular order (I think!!) which is... quite a fine thing haha!

Perhaps this year's would be a little more enjoyable than the last.

Have a good one!
